Dairy Free Maple Latte

  • ½ cup almond/coconut blend or oat milk
  • 2 tbsp oat or coconut or almond creamer
  • 1-2 tbsp maple syrup
  • Pinch of pink Himalayan salt
  • ½ cup coffee or espresso shot if using coffee brew twice as strong as you normally would



  • In a small saucepan, mix together all ingredients except coffee. Heat over high heat until it begins to steam. Once it starts to steam whisk for a bit and then remove from heat. Whisk until light foam forms. Pour milk into a large mug and add about half a cup of coffee.
  • Almond/coconut coffee creamer from Califa farms is amazing!


        For a hot dairy free drink that is healthy and easy to make you will love this dairy free maple latte. I don’t like spending a lot of money on fancy drinks so I make my own versions at home. I love using steamed milk with strong coffee to make a latte. As much as I want an espresso machine that steams milk, I’m not ready for the investment yet. I have expensive taste while remaining oddly frugal… So until I can afford to buy a fancy machine, I’ll keep brewing my strong coffee and steaming milk on my stove top.

       I have a little hand powered frother that I use to create some foam in steamed coconut milk. Make sure that when you make a latte that contains dairy free milk, you use something with coconut in it. Or an oat milk. They have a richer flavor and froth better than almond or rice milk. Those are just a few tips to get you started or help you out in your dairy free journey.
